Purple Prairie Clover

The Purple Prairie Clover grows in the portion of  the United  states .It has to grow  in Sandy or Well drained  soil to grow .It starts to grow  in May through September .It grows up to thrity six inches tall , or one yard .It grows on a slender cone . It scientfic  classficton name is Petalostemum ,and it’s  scienfic name is Fabaceae.Suggested uses include slopes  , mass,planting,roadsides,    meadows.It  is exellant that is high protein  forage for livestock .Also  it is very drought  due to an extensive root system which  makes transplanting difficult .It needs to be in full sun .The Aggie Horticuiture helped me find this information.
